Shoes

Referring to the website of ModCloth and their wise words : "Too many shoes? There's no such thing!", I want to show you my collection of shoes.
My darling husband made me a wall with bars where I can expose my shoes.
I don't count them but there are many and still growing.
These shoes I just bought recently :

burgundy Mary Janes from Office of London on ebay

cream suede shoes from Clarks on ebay

black suede shoes "Streamlined" from Miss L Fire

And these darlings are still on my wishing list:
Monaco brown from Miss L Fire

Swedish hasbeens

So here some pictures of my wall I've mentioned

I'm a very happy woman!

Do you also have an addiction?

Walraversijde Archaelogical Museum

As promised the rest of our visit to Raversijde.
The lost fishing settlement of Walraversijde is one of the most important archaeological sites in Flanders and one of the best studied medieval fishermen communities in Europe.
The four reconstructed fishermen's dwellings introduce you to the residents of the medieval village.  The buildings were reconstructed with original medieval bricks excavated during the archaeological survey of the site.  The archaeological site takes you to a fascinating interactive museum where the numerous, very diverse and excellently preserved medieval objects give a clear picture of life in the village.

If you ever come to the Belgian coast be sure you don't forget to visit this Provincial Domain.

Atlantikwall Open-air museum

Last week my husband and I went on holiday by te sea in Oostduinkerke.
We went to the Provincincial Domain of Raversijde to visit the open-air museum.
The Atlantikwall is one of the leading attractions at the Belgian coast and one of the three museums in the Provincial Domain of Raversijde.  The over 60 bunkers, observation posts and artillery positions and the 2 km of open or subterranean corridors constitute one of the best preserved parts of the infamous German Atlantikwall.  This defence line was built by te Germans during the Second World war from the French-Spanish border to Norway.  Thousands of bunkers were constructed to protect the ports and to prevent an allied assault.  The museum also houses the only preserved German coastal battery from the First World War.
All constructions on the site were restored to their original condition and furnished with authentic objects and furniture.  The open-air museum is the perfect place to experience the atmosphere of the "Longest Day".
